Our Kickoff Process
Our proven process allows us to get to know you, will provide you the opportunity to define your project and receive clear answers to your design or maintenance questions.
After your initial call or follow up to a Contact Form submission please allow up to 24 hours during the week to hear back from us for an initial review to discuss your requirements, budget and project timeline. At the conclusion of our brief 10 minute call we will determine if we can assist you then schedule an Onsite Consultation visit.
At our 60-90 minute onsite consultation, your consultant will walk the property with you and discuss how to achieve your goals and our services depending on whether your needs are for Outdoor Living or Maintenance services.
If your interest is Outdoor Living services, your design consultant will assess your inspirational photos and ideas, property contours and layout, your home's configuration, exterior materials and style, color and unique architectural features. We will determine ouw existing landscape design can be tied into your new space, priorities vs. wish list. You will hear candid feedback on project budget constraints to better understand if you have a realistic budget for the scope of work.
To close out, your Design Consultant will provide you with valuable on-the-spot ideas, solutions and design direction and tips from an experienced Landscape Designer who will review our design phase and available offerings and suggest if a design will be required and which type is appropriate or if the scope can be achieved wihout a design based on size and complexity of scope.
it will take your Designer several weeks to create an initial design that can be reviewed with you for changes. We include the initial design and one further round of revision in the design fee.
We will furnish you with a Welcome Packet of information which covers expectations and every step of the Design phase and Onboarding process.
We offer the following Design options:
- 2D and 3D Landscape design rendering
- Property Master Planning
- Irrigation Layouts
- Project Consulting Services.
2D landscape designs offer precise, top-down technical blueprints (site plans) suitable for smaller, budget-friendly projects, focusing on layout accuracy while 3D designs provide realistic, immersive visualizations showing height, depth, and materials from multiple angles, ideal for complex, high-investment projects.
Certain properties and project scopes are visually communicated better using 3D rendering than 2D. 2D and 3D designs are complex and time consuming therefore may take 4+ weeks from meeting before complete based on complexity and revisions.
Once the final design is approved by our client we then move into the estimating phase.
All Other Estimates
Estimates for most Maintenance, Irrigation or Specialty services are available 3-5 business days from receipt of requirements with the exception of commercial irrigation depending upon complexity and scope.
Design-Build Estimates
Once we have pricing for all design elements your design consultant will schedule a meeting with you to review the estimate, this can take up to two weeks or more if we are waiting for vendor material quotes for custom items or subcontractor quotes.
When the estimate is completed, we will schedule a meeting with you to review the estimate to ensure that all the items you requested have been included.
Once you feel good with the proposal, you simply sign and date the bottom of the agreement. A payment schedule section will be included in the agreement for clarity.
With a signed agreement and paid deposit we will add your project to our master schedule. At this time we will provide you with a tentative start date and best case project duration.
When we are about one month prior to your project start date we will schedule a pre-construction meeting onsite to review the contracted scope of work, status of any required permits, field any questions and make any changes you would want prior to starting construction.
After construction starts you will be kept updated on progress weekly if not more often while onsite by the crew foreman until project completion, punch list is completed and a final walk through has been completed.
Any requested changes to the project scope of work during the construction phase or any changes necessary due to unforseen conditions will be addressed through individual change order requests and invoiced separately with payment due at the time the change request is signed.
