Whether you are seeking basic lawn care or just need results, the traditional program will deliver. Our commercial programs are customized to fit the budget and desires of the individual client. These programs generally use the typical synthetic lawn care materials that are tried and true. At Valley, we listen to your needs and create a working plan for manicured areas as well as open space. We will provide you with a custom step program that takes into account grass variety, usage, amount of sun or shade and existing conditions garnered from soil testing to understand what nutrients are necessary to deliver results while not using more material than necessary. 

Behind us are many professional resources from the Golf and Turf industries as well as academia. We use the best products for your conditions based on experience and guidance from our suppliers. Naturally, Valley Outdoor Design, LLC participates in continuing education from manufacturers, distributors and state agencies for safe handling and the environment. We are a licensed Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator and follow all EPA and state regulations as directed by MDAR.

We have extensive experience with large properties in close proximity to municipal water supplies with deeded restrictions and waterfront locations. Our programs include state and university recognized Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices, fertilizers from natural sources with a high percentage of (WIN) or Water Insoluble Nutrients, NO sludge with high metals content, NO Phosphorus, only OMRI certified products and natural alternatives to chemical based pesticides such as organic corn gluten based preemergent targeting crabgrass among many other natural treatments.  

It all starts with the soil and just like other methods, Organic lawn care programs rely on soil testing to determine what actions are necessary to improve or maintain existing conditions in the landscape.

Other aspects of this program will rely on changes in cultural practices such as cutting to a higher blade length to block out the sun and choke out weeds, Soil pH, ensuring that watering is deep and infrequent, IPM is used to avoid using more harsh treatments, use of beneficial nematodes in the soil and well as beneficial insects and bio-insecticides to treat many conditions including Grub infestation in a people, pet and pollinator safe manner.

Many products used will overlap between OMRI and NOFA certification and therefore are acceptable near food crops as well as turf so are considered the safest available. We utilize manufacturers from all across the USA, Canada (which is all organic lawn care) and Europe to source our well researched products for these programs since only the best will do

Organic programs require an investment time, energy and budget from the client, property manager and the full service landscape or lawn care professional as well as a road map of how to achieve the client's desired goals.
